Day 4

 People need the Lord.

In today's reflection of my Bible study of Habakkuk I am reminded of the power of God's word and the importance of going back to His word for truth. In Hebrew 4:12 it says that "The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart." and 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." This is especially importance in a world where truth is slowly becoming more and more subjective. What is true for you may not be true for me. That's the kind of deception that the devil is luring people into.

Unknowingly we are drowning deeper and deeper into his deceptive lies. People need the Lord more than ever before. Our young people are living lives which are meaningless and without purpose and it is no wonder so many of time are starting to punish themselves and others. People are not complete without God.

So what am I called to do? As a teacher and a father, how can I influence the children in my care to show them the purpose of this thing called, "life".

Dear God, use me to show your purpose to the world. Help me bring their silent cries to the Lord. Help me open the door to the people around me. Bring me to where you want, use me however you want to bring hope to people.
