Day 6

 What's the meaning of life?

Often many people wonder about that? Is there a meaning and purpose in life? The answer is, yes, there is a meaning and purpose in life if you know where to look for it.

We need to understand that often we have a stagnant spirit due to a secularized spirituality or even no spirituality at all. This causes us to run after emptiness. Trying our best to make the best of our lives by earning a lot of money, seeking affirmation in people, seeking love in human relationships. All these will eventually lead us to emptiness because it doesn't fill what is most important, our soul. 

We need to recognize that our physical body and the world we live in is temporal. What happens when life ends? Our lives can end in just a blink of an eye. So then, what do we pursue? 

Pursue what is eternal, something that cannot be taken away from us. Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour is eternal. 

Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour is eternal "and He is before all things, and in him all things hold together" (Col 1:17). In Habakkuk 1:5 we are reminded to "look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told."

Dear friends, my prayer for all of us is to turn our eyes away from ourselves and look at this world through the eyes of God and see the eternal work that He is doing. He is the one at work, not us, we just have to be a part of it.

Flipped Learning?  Today's post is a reflection of what I would like to share with teachers not just from my school but from all over Singapore about how we can better prepare ourselves for a hybrid learning environment where teachers and students will be placed on LOA / QO now and then. Hi everyone! I'm recording this video live in my quarantine room as I've been put on QO due to a confirmed case in my school. Know God and Obey Him

 How long will God let this go on? This is the cry of Habakkuk when he saw that "the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted.". Today's world is very much similar to the times in which Habakkuk was living in. People in many parts of the world are living in fear because law is paralyzed and the wicked surround the righteous. Even in "civilized" world, the wicked surround the righteous, often hiding in the shadows of the internet and social media. How should we respond then? David reminds us in Psalm 37:1-7 on how we should respond in these moments of fear and frustration. Fret not yourself because of evildoers;  be not envious of wrongdoers!
